16" Chrome PT Cruiser Replica Hubcaps Wheel Covers New Set Review

I ordered my hubcaps from Suburban Wheel Covers and they came in a timely manner looking nice and shiney without any scratches.I installed them on brand new Chrysler rims.I attached the metal retaining ring to the inside of the hubcap.I then placed them on the new rims and secured them until they were flush with the rim all the way around.I took a 60 mile trip to Portsmouth, NH and lost one of the hubcaps.On the way back we kept looking on the side of the road to see if we would be lucky enough to find our lost hubcap.No luck.In fact, when we got home, we found out that we had lost a second hubcap.My wife was so upset, she said to take the remaining two off.I put the last two back on the new rims on the driver's side, so at least half the car would look good.Two weeks later we took another trip to Portsmouth, NH.We lost a third hubcap on the way down and finally lost the fourth hubcap on the way back home.That was the worst $65.98 I have ever spent.Spend the extra money and purchase Chrysler factory hubcaps.I plan to.

422 Series Toyota Corolla 15" Hubcaps Wheel Covers New Set Review

Considering the low purchase price of this hubcap set I expected to get what I paid for. Quite the contrary. Not only do they look sharp the mountings fit tight and they arrived at our home on Maui in a few days. They even have valve stem notches to make sure they line-up correctly with the steel wheels and don't show rust. I prefer them over the OEM caps that came new on my Corolla. Definitely a winner.

My only gripe being ,no instructions (sounds dumb but you CAN be challenged by a metal ring!)and , you can see the brass metal ring when installed. Overall a sharp looking set. The hubcaps,appearance wise, look great.But you need to be very careful with the plastic ring supports.I had a brand new, out of the box set of hupcaps that the plastic support broke on one of the hubcaps as I was placing the ring in place. The plastic just snapped off.Maybe from a weak mold. The box of hubcaps was replaced by Amazon, so I will see what luck I have with the new ones.

These wheel covers are great! I ordered them for a little blue Scion xA, to give it more of a VW Beetle feel. Even though they don't have Vee-Dub on the center, the black is great. They are plastic but they certainly haven't fallen off--and you get an excellent deal because of the material. They were easy to put on, though the instructions were lacking regarding the inflation nozzle. Just make sure the dip in the frame of the wheel cover goes over the nozzle.

Two of the four hubcaps cracked on installation!These are plastic.They come with a cheap metal ring that is theoretically designed to strengthen the clips, BUT there are no metal clips!Just plastic.I didn't have a rubber mallet so I used my hands/fist.I'm a small woman, so I know I didn't exert an unusual amount of force to cause the breakage.I'll keep them because they look better than nothing.
