Stant 41001 InStant Fill Gas Cap (Not for use in CA, OR, WA) Review

On two different cars (Chrysler and Kia) caps failed to seal and brought on the Check Engine light.The old PermaCap was on a Lincoln for many years with no failures.Basically the Instant Fill is an inferior design. The Stant will also allow moisture to collect in the flap door depression which unloads into the tank when the filler nozzle is inserted.It is a terrific idea, but needs better product design and engineering.

Stant 10834 Fuel Cap Review

For over a year I was dealing with "Check Engine" lights having to do with a large emission leak.I originally changed the gas cap with the Volvo OEM cap at twice the price thinking this would solve the trick.Nope.

After a year and a half of erasing engine codes with my reader from a gas cap that could not create a good seal I decided to try this Stant cap.It has worked so well over the past few months that I bought an extra because I am concerned about losing it (there is no leash like on the OEM cap.

A great buy that solved my "Check Engine" light problem. I'm a happy camper :)

Stant 10841 Fuel Cap Review

My factory cap is under a recall. I've replaced it twice. First time was at 4000 miles. In a word the factory cap is junk. Buy this one and be over it. This cap will fit next to the filler neck when filling with gas. Stant 10841 is the proper cap for the 2005 GTO. Application guide will say different.
