Kicker CompVT 07CVT104 10-Inch 250mm 4-Ohm SVC Subwoofer Review

I bought this set of subs for an MTX Thunderform box that I have for an 08 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. The box already came loaded with 2 MTX T4510-08's. Those subs I found to be lacking all around, and decided to upgrade. Realizing that I had to use a slim sub, I wanted to get the biggest bang for the buck. MTX's website has a great tool that lets you compare their subs against some of their top competitors. I compared MTX's Slim sub to this amazing Kicker, and a Rockford Fosgate and a few others. Not only was this sub cheaper, but it outperformed all the others on paper. Finding this sub was the hard part, but Amazon had them listed, and I trust this site, so I went ahead and made the purchase. I'm so glad I did. These sub's made my whole system come alive. I could not believe the thump I felt in my chest after installing these subs. The sound quality is by far better than the subs that come already installed. If your considering these subs, get them. I believe these subs are 07 model year, that's why they are so cheap, but they are brand new, and will out perform most subs made at present time.

With the same creative inspiration that brought the world the 10- and 12-inch CompVTs in 2007, these subwoofers inherit the same technology running through the CVT family. Ventless, solid-pole design allows it to be mounted directly against the rear wall of a sealed or vented enclosure, permitting the CVT8 to perform with a mounting depth of less than 3-3/8 inches, and the CVT65 with less than 2-13/16 inches! Spring-loaded binding posts are also mounted differently than standard subwoofers to minimize size. And, you can subtract enclosure wall depth from the equation as well with a substitution steel "clearance" adapter plate.
Don't let the smaller sizes suggest this is not a "true" subwoofer! The 8-inch CVT8 handles 200 watts RMS (400w peak) and the 6.5-inch CVT65 handles 150 watts RMS (300w peak). Each woofer's injection-molded cone is shaped to provide maximum excursion from a slender basket, and a specialized four-layer voice coil provides the CVT the capabilities to work with large amounts of power, but in a slimmer package.
KICKER CVT subwoofers utilize many of the same characteristics as other KICKER subwoofers, like Spiralead tinsel-lead technology that allows for better strength, durability, and flexibility. Perimeter venting, high-temp coil wire, Uniplate backplate and pole, double-stitching, and logo trim ring around the steel basket's outer edges are also features the CVT inherits. And with the cone's modified spoke design, 360-degree back bracing, and ribbed Santoprene surround, the CVT becomes another KICKER subwoofer bound to shake the car audio world.

Airaid 200-912 Review

I purchased this product for my 2003 Chevy Avalanche 1500 hoping to gain a little towing power and better gas mileage. I already have a Flowmaster muffler (also purchased on Amazon)(only replaced muffler no other exhaust mods.), a throttlebody spacer, and an open airfilter. The Avalanche has a computer that tells you the average and instant miles per gallon. After adding the Airaid intake pipe my average miles per gallon went from 15.5 miles per gallon with previous modifications to 15.8 with the intake tube. This is on a 85,000 mile truck that drives almost 50/50 in town and highway. I think that is pretty good since the EPA rating for the truck when new was 17 highway. You also gain a noticeable boost in full throttle excelleration. Some of the hills on the highway that the truck used to downshift on to maintain speed it now powers up without downshift. I think it was worth the money and will eventually pay for itself over time. It will also most likely become a bigger asset after the next modification, short tube headers.

I have had my unit for over six months and the batteries are still very strong.

I have many tire pressure gauges which include both analog and digital types. What I really like about this one is that it won't let out any air when you take a measurement of tire pressure at the stem valve. This characteristic is important because even slight escape of air will affect tire pressure.

This unit also has an added feature: tire tread depth measure. I don't use it much, but it's handy when you need it. Much better than using a penny or a quarter.

CIPA 10801 Chevrolet/GMC Custom Driver Side Towing Mirror Review

Bought these for my 2007 GMC Sierra Classic.You install them by sliding them on to your factory mirror and then pulling the upper lip of the towing mirror over the top of the factory mirror.This makes for a very tight fit and seems to put a fair amount of stress on the plastic.Also, the adjustment bar that's included with the mirrors (that fits inside to keep them tight) is only covered with a thin layer of felt paper.When I removed the mirrors, I had some marks in the plastic of my factory mirrors.I would not recommend using these on any mirror that's painted or has the chrome cover, as it would most likely scratch very easily.In the owner's manual, it recommends waxing your factory mirrors but this probably won't be enough to protect them.

Using the mirrors, they worked great.The don't vibrate or whistle in the wind.They integrate with with lines of the truck well and look like a factory option.The glass tilts in all directions and once you set it to the angle you want, it stays put.It would be nice to have a convex mirror on the passenger side, however.My truck is an extended cab with a 6.5' foot bed and my travel trailer is 30 feet long and I was able to see down both sides of the trailer; I could even see the wheels of the trailer on the driver's side when the rig is straight and I can see the wheels on the passenger side when making right turns, which helps to keep it off the curbs!

Overall a good product but I only give it four stars because of the extremely tight fit, poor padding on the inside adjustment bar and the fact that they left some small scratches on my factory mirror housings.They could have put a little more effort in to getting a better fit, but these are still far better than any universal mirror.

As advertised, there are 10 75 Ohm terminators in the package. They screw onto unused co-axial connections (as in unused cable splitter extra connections) and terminate the signal. From my view, they do what they are intended to do for a few cents each.

i have to say that i am very happy with these amps i do have two of them in my truck and they do push some power.I have slimm to no distortion out of them no matter how much i crank the system.I have this amp pushing two 12 inch polk mm's and another kicker pushing all my components.So damn loud and clean sounding

2010 Camaro Rally Stripe Yellow Cap Review

I have a 2010 Yellow LT with the Stripe Package. This hat was just what I was looking for. If you have a Camaro with the stripe package, then this hat is for you. They have this hat in every Camaro color available. (it may take a bit of searching on Amazon but they are there) I love this hat because it matches, has a beautiful ball cap shape, and quite simply it rocks. On the other hand, my wife thinks it is a bit loud, but then again, so is my car! Buy it, you will get compliments, guaranteed!

Bondo 264 Bondo Filler Lightweight Gallon with No Cap Review

If you want a paper copy it's Xerox and for auto dent repairs, it's Bondo. This product hasn't changed since the 70's. I bought another gallon the other week and found it was harder to work with (thicker/harder and dryer than usual - doesn't flow well) because it sat on the shelf in the store for a few years. So watch out as it does have a shelf life.

Sticks to most everything so it's also good for other repairs. I've used it as a wood filler, repair broken plastic components, form custom molds for wood working projects and other things around the house and shop.

Easy to work with and forgiving if you screwed up. Just grind it off and reapply. For extra strength, I add fiberglass or metal reinforcement. Shape it during the soft state and sand it when it hardens. Finished hard, glass smooth and so cheap.The trick is matching the existing color on the car - I'm still fighting this part.

Boss CAP20 20 Farad Capacitor Review
