After two trips to the mechanics, we finally figured out that this new cap doesn't work. It gets loose after a while, no matter how tight I fasten it after pumping gas. Then the check engine light would go on and we had a hard time figuring out what went wrong. I switched to use a geniue part from the dealer and it worked, much better.

SureFire Z33 TAIL CAP LANYARD KIT Review

I'm using this with a 6P LED SureFire flashlight.I was a little perplexed at first how to set this thing up, in particular, what to do with the two spring loaded clips.I ended up putting a crown knot (or a lanyard or monkey knot would do as well) on the bitter end after dispensing with one of the clips.When I go out at night, say to walk the dog, I'll put my left hand through the lanyard and cinch it up with the clip (positioned between my hand and the clip) and hold the light in my hand, switch end toward my thumb, ready to use if I should need to.

I've had one other problem.It makes a difference which way you apply the hook to the ring that connects it to the light.One way, and it will tend to come off, the other way and it tends to stay on.I don't have it with me at this time, so you'll have to figure it out yourself.But if you find you have a problem keeping the hook attached, try putting it on the other way, i.e. the open side of the hook to the rear of the light or vice-versa (hope that makes sense).I would buy this again if I had another light and would recommend it to a friend.The cord is sturdy parachute cord, so it should withstand any "tactical" use.

We bougth this for a 6.5 foot GMC bed.It barely reaches the end of the bed.The clips don't fit the front of the bed, they are too small.
It must be for a 6.5 INCH bed or some small truck.
Spent extra to have it shipped quickly as we were going caming and ended up using a cheap discount store tarp.
This is junk....don't order.

I must add that AMAZON stood by us (the customer). They quickly refunded our money.

Stant 10111 Oil Filler Cap Review

Bought this cap to replace the OEM cap on my '99 Jeep Grand Cherokee.It's one piece, molded high-impact plastic.It lacks the yellow markings of the original, but those just told me to see the owner's manual for oil recommendations, so I'm sure I can live without them.The stock cap also ratcheted to prevent over-tightening, while this cap does not.However, since I was replacing the old cap because it came apart at the ratchet mechanism when I tried to open it, I may be better off without the ratchet.It has a rubber gasket, and seems to seal well.Works for me.

Gorilla Automotive VS407C Flush Mount Valve Stems - Slotted Cap Review

This product, as advertised is a great low profile valve solution for those of us looking for a clean install or a way to keep wandering neighborhood kids' hands away from our tire valves and covers. Unfortunately the filling extension tube which must be threaded into the recessed valve is very inefficient at conveying air. Now I'm not sure how well this filling method may work on a wheel and tire combo with a smaller cavity, such as low profile tires perhaps. I will say my 33x12.50s took excrutiatingly long to fill. So much so, that I deemed the system inpractical, and although I left the unit installed in my spare, I went out and got the shorty hard valves from the same manufacturer. OH and P.S. if you were wondering, the slot is roughly the size of a quarter.

Mustang Valve Stem Caps Review

I just love adding little details like this. The logo on the cap matches the logo on my wheel now. These caps are very well done, not cheap, actually have some weight to them. My only gripe is on the 2011 Mustang they don't cover the brass part of the stem, so I'll need to look for chrome stem covers (not caps). It still looks pretty good regardless.

Boss CAP8 8 Farad Capacitor Review

This product arrived malfunctioned.I had this capacitor installed professionally and the light and display doesn't light up.I'd send it back if it didn't cost me the purchaser shipping to ship it to the company and back for a replacement. I once saw one of those electric backlit "rearrange your own letters" signs which read "I wish I could afford all of the gadgets that are supposed to save me money".

This gadget is not called out as a money-saving gadget, but the same underlying principle does seem to apply. Most gadgets are primarily designed to move money from the pockets of people who want to be impressed with the gadget's utility into the pockets of the people who designed and marketed/distributed the gadgets.

I call into question the description of this product which states that it forces "powerful jets" of water into your RV sewer hose. In fact, it divides the water into four streams, but they are not particularly powerful. I have good water pressure at my house. In fact, I had to install a pressure reducing valve on my side of the meter to keep the water pressure from damaging my plumbing. I have it set at about 60 pounds. I have a spray attachment on the end of my hose that will shoot a jet of water about 40 feet.

When attached to my water hose, this gadget divides the water stream into four jets that are angled outward, but they will only go about ten feet. It might clean the first couple feet of sewer hose.

I guess from the perspective that you can attach this to your water line, turn a valve to start rinsing, then close it off again, this is a decent product. It's just not as big a deal as they make it out to be.

a capacitor is like a huge battery with a short memory span.when you turn your stereo on, it charges up to full voltage; power fills the capacitor every time you start your car.when you turn off your car, it still holds the charge, and will continue to do so until it is drained.this means you will have it appear as if it is still on after you shut the car off.it isn't retrieving any more power from your battery; rather, it is slowly going to drain as it cannot sustain a charge for a long period of time.

it is normal operation for it to display "on" long after the car has been shut off.it will not drain your battery this way.again, this is just how capacitors work.:)

Stant 10506 Locking Fuel Cap Review

This cap seemed good at first.However closer inspection reveals that this will only deter the least determined of gas theives, and is more of a visual deterrent then an actual security device.

A close look at the design of my filler neck reveals the nubs on the cap just sit behind the guides on the filler neck.They don't lock in.What this means is that if you pull up on the cap and turn, there is a friction battle between where the spinning top contacts the base of the cap and the nubs against filler neck.Guess which has less friction... the nubs against the filler neck.For this design to work, the cap would need to spin on ball bearings, or something else that has less frictionthen the nubs against the filler neck.

Bottom line: If you pull up on the locked cap with gentle to moderate force and turn the cap, it comes right off.The design of the filler neck plays a role, so this may not be true for all cars, however it is true for my Saturn Ion.
