These lights are basically toys; don't expect any real durability here; the shell is plastic.That being said, when they have good batteries there are surprisingly bright!Unfortunately mine came with a bunch of bad batteries -- what a waste!Once I put good batteries in, they worked well.
Keep in mind you need to manually turn these on and off; there are other kinds that will automatically turn on when you start biking.It's up to you which you would prefer.
