I'm using this with a 6P LED SureFire flashlight.I was a little perplexed at first how to set this thing up, in particular, what to do with the two spring loaded clips.I ended up putting a crown knot (or a lanyard or monkey knot would do as well) on the bitter end after dispensing with one of the clips. When I go out at night, say to walk the dog, I'll put my left hand through the lanyard and cinch it up with the clip (positioned between my hand and the clip) and hold the light in my hand, switch end toward my thumb, ready to use if I should need to.
I've had one other problem. It makes a difference which way you apply the hook to the ring that connects it to the light. One way, and it will tend to come off, the other way and it tends to stay on.I don't have it with me at this time, so you'll have to figure it out yourself. But if you find you have a problem keeping the hook attached, try putting it on the other way, i.e. the open side of the hook to the rear of the light or vice-versa (hope that makes sense).I would buy this again if I had another light and would recommend it to a friend. The cord is sturdy parachute cord, so it should withstand any "tactical" use.
